Brown Derby Drive-In in Shawnee

Found this place by accident. Great place. Wished I lived closer.

Local legend, good burgers and shakes. They also have fried apple pies! Great prices as well. If I have time and my blood pressure isn't too high, I like to order a Brown Derby Special, Bacon Cheeseburger, Coney, X- large soda, chocolate shake and a fried apple pie! Take cash with you, they don't take cards.

Their hamburgers are so good! Especially the one with sweet relish on it. They will take card but prefer cash.

Great hamburger joint seems to be family oriented. If your in a hurry and want a good burger on the go this is a great spot to catch lunch or possibly take the g/f or wifey out for a fast bite. It beets fast food hands up

Great pricing, good food, fast service and definitely worth giving a try.When wanting to leave a tip when paying with a card. You must let the car hop know before they swipe your card.

They have the most wonderful hot beef on rye. It comes with homemade hot mustard! So so good!

I picked up a burger and fries from Brown Derby based on so many positive reviews. The fries were limp and greasy with raw potato flavor. The meat on the burger was nothing to brag about. I could have gotten better tasting food at other fast food competitors.

Outstanding old fashioned hamburger. Went in for lunch nice and quick service. If you are in Shawnee you need to lunch here.

This is a mainstay. Omg, my grandkids loved this place. They was enjoying the food, service and the way everything was set. Thank you Brown Derby.

They could not take the rush at lunch today. Took nearly 40mins to get the food. Fries were a huge soggy mess, both the coke and Dr pepper were flat. Had no straws, and the cups had weird flavor on them. First time there and it will be the last, not worth the wait.

Cheap burgers, chili coneys, friendly service, and an old timey atmosphere of 1950s+ nostalgia. I'd give it a chance, and they take credit/debit cards!

I don't want to leave a review of this place. Let's just say I won't be going back. They have been in this location for many years; probably 60 years or so. Lots of locals like to go here.

The Brown Derby has been in the same location forever and every visit the food is great. A drive up dining experience isn't as common as it once was, but the Brown Derby always delivers.

Cute little drive in with tasty food at good prices. The onion rings are outstanding and the hot beef on rye is juicy tangy perfection.

The hot beef on rye with the hot mustard is a must have! Always has been always will be! If that's not your cup of tea then you can't go wrong with the special!

Very good food and service. These are the best hamburgers in town. It's an old style drive in. Don't let that keep you from enjoying their food.

It would be nice if they would leave the tray at your car window like they used to. Fries could be a little less greasy. But still good

It was ok. However the meat on the burger was pretty thin. I'm glad I ordered a double cheeseburger. They put the lettuce, tomato, and ketchup between the two slices of meat which was kinda weird. The fries were homestyle type which I don't care for. And a little greasy too. The burger tasted good! The large drink isn't that large. I shared a few pics of my meal. I probably won't go back.

BD is an excellent fast food sit down and chow restaurant. I have 2 favorites and it's hard every visit to decide which to order: the double patty and the hot beef on rye. I love them both.
